3GSolar, Ltd. is a leading developer of solar energy using Dye-sensitized solar cell technology with first applications for off-grid rural areas. DSC is a cost-effective third generation alternative to earlier technologies based on silicon or thin film, providing an environmentally friendly solution that produces electricity efficiently even in low light conditions.
These cells are extremely promising because they are made of low-cost materials and do not need an elaborate apparatus to manufacture. Using intellectual property from Bar-Ilan University and through a European Union research grant, 3G Solar has been able to achieve the highest electrical efficiency of any Dye-sensitized cell products in development.

 | Entech Solar, Inc., is the leading provider of low-cost, concentrating solar energy systems. Entech designs, manufactures and markets solar energy systems that provide electricity and thermal energy for commercial and industrial applications. Entech's breakthrough product, the ThermaVolt™ system, uses proprietary concentrating photovoltaic and thermal (CPVT) technology to produce cost-competitive distributed energy. Entech's ThermaVolt system generates 3-4X as much energy as standalone PV systems, making it the most efficient solar system today. Entech Solar, Inc. was formed by the acquisition of ENTECH, Inc., by WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. in January 2008. ENTECH had primarily been an R&D company that designed and produced concentrating solar PV technology. WorldWater™ was an engineering services company that designed and installed large solar projects. The combination of these two companies created a new and very powerful company with core competencies in both technology development and engineering services. Entech Solar, Inc. will focus on combining the strengths of each of its legacy companies to create an industry-leading, vertically-integrated, solar energy company.

 | GreenRay Inc. is developing an AC solar module for the residential mass-market based on its proprietary micro inverter technology. While traditional PV systems use discrete components and require specialized expertise to design and install, GreenRay’s “plug-and-play” system comes fully integrated. The modular AC solar panel units plug together and snap into a specially-designed roof mount. To date, most innovation in solar has been focused on reducing the cost of the modules, which only account for a third of the total system cost. GreenRay’s technology focuses on an untouched area of cost reduction – system design and installation which accounts for 40% of the total cost. By reducing design and installation time, GreenRay makes solar more accessible and simpler to install. Its AC module decreases skill level and installation labor costs by 50%-70% and enables a mass do-it-yourself (DIY) market. In addition to the cost savings and increased market addressability, GreenRay’s product is designed to be twice as reliable as current component micro-inverters.

Lightwave Power, LLC is developing disruptive solar energy products based on nanoarrays, unique large area thin-film arrays of repeating nano and micro-sized structures that can absorb, convert, re-emit and control light over a wide range of wavelengths. Conversion efficiencies of nanoarrays are expected to approach 85%. Our products will be produced on flexible substrates and will solve the important problem of current solar electric products that they are far from cost effective: their cost/performance ratios are 10 -100 times too great to be competitive with conventional electrical generation products.
