Trip includes visits to 21Ventures portfolio companies Tel Aviv, May 20, 2009 – David Anthony, Managing Partner of 21Ventures, arrived in Israel this week as a participant in the California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) sponsored Cleantech mission to Israel. The CICC is dedicated to strengthening business and trade relations between California and Israel and assembled a group of leading VC executives for this year’s Cleantech Mission.

During the trip Mr. Anthony also visited a number of 21Ventures’ portfolio companies including 3GSolar, a leading developer of solar energy using Dye Solar Cell (DSC) photovoltaics with first applications for off-grid electrification. DSC is a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly solution that produces electricity even in low light conditions. Mr. Anthony took a tour of the 3GSolar facilities and met with Barry N. Breen, CEO of 3GSolar; Dr. Jonathan Goldstein, Founder and President of the company and Dr. Arie Zaban, Director of the Nanotechnology Center at Bar Ilan University and a member of 3GSolar’s scientific advisory board.
